Studyspanishonline.org was started in 2006 by two Americans that wanted to do some good work in Central America and saw an opportunity to help. We have made arrangements with educated and highly-motivated teachers in Central America, principally Nicaragua and Guatemala. With the help of a for-profit Spanish school in Nicaragua, we offer the on-line classes to international students. First, the teachers are well-paid for their services. This helps with the significant unemployment problem here. The rest of the earnings are spent to expand and maintain the program (investment in new equipment, internet services and promotion of the program). The program started with one teacher, a lap-top computer and an internet connection and has grown to employ 10 teachers, working on a full-time basis.
All of our teachers have a minimum of a 4-year college degree. They are all native Spanish-speakers and also speak English. You will see the enthusiasm in the teachers when you start class. Our teachers are absolutely thrilled with this program and it shows in their work!
Our mission is to provide sustainable full-time, gainful employment to as many people as possible while providing a quality service to international students. Our programming was designed by well-qualified staff at the Spanish school and is shown to be very effective in teaching you to speak fluently.
